The Museum of Dionysios Solomos, Andreas Kalvos and other Eminent Personalities of Zakynthos are housed in a Neoclassical building at the square of Saint Mark, Zakynthos Town. On the ground floor of the museum is the mausoleum and hosts the bones of the National Greek Poet, Dionysios Solomos since 1968, as well as the bones of poet Andreas Kalvos and his wife.
In the other rooms of the museum display paintings of eminent personalities of Zakynthos, an island with rich culture, personal items, manuscripts, etc. Visitors can also see the statue of Dionysios Solomos made by the known sculptor Georgios Vroutos in 1902. The rooms of the museum are dedicated to famous scholars from Zakynthos and benefactors.
