The village of Agios Leon lies a few kilometers from the bay and is a nice village, largely unspoilt by tourism. From here the road weaves down to the coast and it is a pleasant journey with the road bordered by heather. At the bay there is a large carpark at the top and from here there is a walk down a path carved from the rock. Journeying down you get an excellent view of the bay which is roughly u-shaped with plenty of nooks, crannies and small caves.
Limnionas has no sand at all here at Limnionas bay and people who are not bathing try and find a space on the rocks. A platform has been created and there are a couple of shack like constructions. Looking out from here the rock faces are white and the waters a beautiful blue.
